Reflection

1st semester

When I first started this semester I was hoping to make new friends, learn new things, and experience college with an open view. I have met so many amazing people and I am so glad I gave everything a shot. It is amazing at IUI and I am so glad to be here every single day. My goals have somewhat changed as in I am hoping to get on the deans list and join a club but time will tell. 

I have learned I get distracted easily and freedom honestly sort of means more time to take a cat nap. It isn’t the worse thing to happen but it does cause problems when it comes to studying in a timely manner. My strengths are reading though, and I am a decent note taker but I need to improve on writing what I need and not everything on the screen. 

I think one big lesson i learned is that I should ask for help from my peers or my professors. They’re here to help and I need to take advantage of being here. One piece of advice for next semester is to study more!
